BBL - Photofacial Treatment

What is BBL Photo Rejuvenation?

Broad Band Light Photo Rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that uses Broad Band Light (BBL) technology to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin.  BBL is absorbed by pigmentation and dilated capillaries in the treatment area. A series of BBL Photo Rejuvenation treatments can be used to treat a wide range of facial concerns effectively and safely.

Why Choose Photo Rejuvenation?

Most treatments are designed to target specific areas of concern: brown spots or redness. The BBL Photo Rejuvenation system effectively targets most areas while causing minimal redness, and little to no downtime. With multiple BBL treatments, you will witness long-term improvements to your complexion and the appearance of smoother, revitalized skin.

Photo Rejuvenation Can Effectively Treat:
– Broken capillaries
– Skin discoloration
– Age spots
– Hyper-pigmentation
– Birthmarks
– Mild Acne Scars
– Sun Damaged Skin
– Uneven complexions
– Dull Skin
– Active Acne

Photo Facials can be used to target skin conditions on your face, neck, chest, arms and hands.

The light energy delivered by the BBL will gently heat the upper layers of your skin.  The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate new collagen.  This process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, blending its natural colours and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking.  In addition, the photothermal energy will eliminate fine vessels that cause redness and reduce unwanted melanin that produces pigmented lesions.

What Will Happen During My BBL Treatment?

Your eyes will be protected with safety shields.  You may briefly feel a warm or ‘rubber band snap’ sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted areas.  Your procedure may take a few minutes to half an hour depending on the size of the area to be treated and the type of procedure performed.  We will discuss all of your options with you during your consultation.

What Should I Expect After Treatment?

You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours.  For some pigmented leasions, you will see a darkening of the treated areas followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage.  Your treated skin will feel smoother, fine lines and pores will be less noticeable, and sunspots or uneven pigmentation will fade.  Results depend on your condition, the number of treatments, and the area treated.  We will provide you with complete information about the post treatment care and results.
